Separate time from output
Shooting duration and final image count are different parts of a package. Confirm both, along with how the photographer selects photographs, the level of retouching and whether high-resolution downloads are included.

Find the hidden logistics
Ask about travel, parking, permits, venue fees, assistants, overtime and additional locations. For events, clarify continuous coverage versus a split schedule. For commercial use, discuss licensing instead of assuming personal-use terms cover advertising.

Agree on delivery
Record the preview date, final turnaround, gallery expiry and backup policy. If the date matters for invitations or a campaign launch, state the real deadline before booking so the photographer can confirm it is achievable.
