A trial reduces specific risks
It is especially valuable for weddings, sensitive skin, unfamiliar styles and clients who rarely wear makeup. It also tests communication: the artist should be able to interpret feedback without making you feel difficult.

Test the complete look
Wear a top close to the event colour, photograph the result indoors and outside, and keep it on for several hours. Note comfort, oxidation, shine, lash weight and how the makeup looks from normal conversation distance.

Document the decisions
Take clear photographs and list any changes. Confirm that the same artist and agreed products or equivalents will be available on the event date, along with timing and touch-up arrangements.
