Pick the dinner format first
Jimbaran is known for seafood restaurants along the beach. A restaurant that supplies and cooks everything is the simpler choice for a date; a market-and-warung outing gives you more involvement in choosing the seafood. Do not assume a restaurant on the sand accepts outside purchases.
For a beachfront shortlist, look at Menega Cafe in the Muaya area. Check recent reviews, the menu and beach-table availability before travelling. Treat it as a restaurant dinner option; bringing your own fish requires separate confirmation and should not be assumed.

Ask four questions before reserving
Ask whether a beach table can be reserved, whether there is a minimum spend, whether menu prices include tax and service, and what happens if it rains. For seafood priced by weight, confirm the weight and total before cooking. Recent menu photos help compare options, but the restaurant's written quote should decide the budget.
