The useful part, first

Agree on a realistic route and the complete charter terms before comparing the headline daily rate.

01

Build a realistic route

Distances on a map do not reflect Bali traffic. Group stops by area and ask the driver whether the plan fits the number of hours. A shorter route with time at each place is usually better than racing across the island.

02

Confirm the vehicle and inclusions

Share passenger and luggage counts. Confirm air conditioning, child seats if needed, fuel, parking, tolls, waiting time and overtime. Entrance tickets and meals are usually separate unless stated.

Ask which of those the quoted price already covers, and use the local words, because they are what appears in the reply: fuel is BBM, the toll road north of the airport is tol, and parking is charged at each stop, roughly 2,000 to 5,000 IDR for a car. These are small sums that turn into an awkward conversation at the last temple of the day if nobody said who pays them. On a block of eight hours or more it is also normal to cover the driver's meal, around 50,000 IDR, or simply to buy lunch wherever you are eating.

03

Make pickup unambiguous

Send the exact property name, map pin and a reachable contact. For airport pickup, share the flight number and discuss what happens if the flight is delayed.
